STARS Alliance –

  • Presented at two annual national conference on encouraging colleges to partner with local area schools to promote technology
  • Served over 500 hours in community service of education, recruiting, and outreach
  • Team Leader on Tech Days

    • Promote technology to middle and high school students.
    • Coordinate visits to FSU’s campus with high schools around the Big Bend.
    • Guided visiting students around campus while promoting STEM initiative opportunities
  • Team Leader on TSA Group

    • Train students on being leaders and working within teams.
    • Lead ”family” groups of 12-15 students in team-building exercises.
    • Construct exercises to challenge teamwork.
    • Judge on technological and graphical categories in statewide competitions
  • Computer Science and Game Design Workshops

    • Mentored middle school aged students on how to design and code interactive games
    • Provided lessons on how computers work with logic through binary
    • Taught students the basic principles of coding in Ruby


FSU College of Communication and Information (CCI) – Student Leadership Council

  • Organize student and alumni events for the College of Communication and Information
  • Serve as an ambassador for CCI at University and College functions
    • Presented to the College Leadership Board on the success of internships and outreach in the College
  • Coordinated four annual BBQ’s for students, family, and alumni averaging 200+ attendees
  • Led the Social Committee in holding two annual Ice Cream Socials for students and faculty averaging over 150 attendees each
    • Raised $160 in donations for Relay for Life through a “Pie-to-the-Face” fundraiser
  • Presented awards to three students from each school in CCI chosen by their peers for their outstanding work
